Fireless Flame

I really wanted to light this candle I’d gotten for Christmas, today. My dad’s a smoker so I figured he’d have matched or a lighter around, but I couldn’t find anything but an empty green lighter. It wouldn’t give me anything but tiny sparks. BUT I managed to light it anyways, without any source of fire.

I used sugar and a really really hot stove top element. and FWOOM, fire.
